*Detergent Base: It is an excellent emulsifier, meaning it helps oil and water mix. It’s the core ingredient in industrial laundry detergents, floor cleaners, and degreasers.
* Textile Processing: Used as a "wetting agent" to help dyes and finishes penetrate fabrics evenly.
* Stain Removal: Because it breaks down surface tension, it is highly effective at lifting grease, wax, and oil-based stains from clothing.
Safety
*Eye Damage: Can cause severe, permanent eye damage or blindness if splashed.
* Skin Irritation: Causes redness and irritation upon contact. Prolonged exposure can lead to chemical burns.
* Toxicity: Harmful if swallowed or inhaled as a mist.
Storage
*Avoid Overheating: Prolonged exposure to high heat can cause the product to decompose or discolor.
* Cloud Point Awareness: N-9 has a "cloud point" (the temperature at which the solution becomes cloudy and starts to separate) usually around 52°C – 56°C. For your inventory at Prakash Chemical, keep it in a shaded, cool area of the warehouse to ensure it stays a clear, stable liquid.
* Cold Weather: If the temperature drops significantly, the liquid may thicken or gel. If this happens, it should be warmed gently and stirred before use to restore its consistency.
